Wake Up! Lloydminster Retreat

On the weekend of November 9th to 11th Nicole, Drew, Kelsey, Chantelle, my mom, and I (Vanessa) traveled 5 hours in out squishy truck to Lloydminster for a youth gathering.

The weekend was a blast! The speaker was awesome and the worship was amazing! Jean Paul talked about “waking up” in our faith. He encouraged us to accept the Holy Spirit and allow it to do miraculous things in our lives. He told us really cool stories about how God has used him and filled him with the Holy Spirit so he could minister to others. The alter time on Saturday night was intense there were people being healed and speaking in tongues and doing all sorts of cool things.

I felt that God has really been leading me towards starting a faith walk group, a group of youth who get together to strengthen their faith and knowledge of the bible and really focus on the Holy Spirit and the gifts that it gives to us as Christians. I was thinking we could meet weekly and study the Bible and pray with and intense fashion! Then when we feel we are ready, go to Saskatoon to the mall or something and minister to people there using our spiritual gifts. I can‘t wait to see the opportunities God gives us and how he will use us! I know some of the youth were really excited about the idea. Let me know what you think!
