Manafest

Tuesday evening some of the youth went to Humboldt for a Manafest concert. Manafest is a rap /hip hop group dedicated to proclaiming God's love. We chatted with a couple of guys before the concert started (who unknown to us was Manafest and the guy who did the brake dancing ). Kelsey, Chantelle, Alex, Nicole and I got a spot right at the front of the crowd. We were less than a foot from the show. The music was awesome! Manafest would rap and we would rock out waving our arms in the air. The brake dancing was really cool. This guy would spin around on his head, do flips and all sorts of cool stuff. At one point everyone formed a circle and he would bust a move and then it was one of our turns. There were some really cool dances...ha ha and some not so cool ones! Manafest did some freestyle too. He rapped about Kelsey's headband and necklace and about my scissors shaped like a duck. We were shown a music video and a video about their trip to Bolivia and the hunger and poverty there. Manafest, his wife and the brake dancer guy all took some time during the evening to talk about God, his love, and the relationships they have with Him. They also gave us opportunities to help those children in Bolivia and give our lives to Christ. It was a really cool experience! After the concert Chantelle and Kelsey got some posters signed and Alex had here pants signed. Before going home we drove the party van to Dairy Queen for some delectable ice cream treats.
