Converge 2008

Converge 2008 was the bomb-diggotty! When we arived at Horizon, the college that was hosting, there was a crazy guy running around in shorts and a life jacket. He was wearing a pair of ski goggles crooked and was cheering like a wild man. It was awesome! (Next year I want to be the crazy guy in the life jacket!) Kelsey once again was the water-chugging master and won a CD. That night there was also a concert with Hundredfold. They are extreme rockers and excellent performers! One guy was wearing suspenders! We even got our picture taken! When it was over we all had the satisfactory ring in our ears that comes with a sweet concert! (I never caught a word they sung but it great!) Ryan Wood was the speaker for the weekend. He talked about serving Jesus by serving the least of these. The theme for the weekend was "Prime Time", that now was the prime time for action. The messages were very powerful! Worship was led by a band from Horizon. Just as God promised, where one or more are gathered he will be there. It was really awesome! There were some songs we recognised from Lloydminster. Over the weekend we were fed like royalty! (I am so stolked to go to this school next year! I even made a new friend!) Mike was also proclaimed "juice boy" Kelsey's favorite part of the weekend was all the cute boys!! Satuday they had some awesome skits. There was a spooof of the Late Show featuring appearaces by many of the "famous" proffesors. There were also a few game shows, where we learned Vanessa is not "Smarter than a first year"! There was also my all-time favorite inflatable game... the bungie run! You are harnessed to a bungie cord and you jump and run and are flung backwards! If we could sum it all up in a few words, it would be "snort wooo"! Keep in mind we are all very tired, but happy!
