Philadelphia Rock Solid

Last Friday was the final Rock Solid event of the year. The Philadelphia church hosted it. When we arrived we were split into three teams for some outdoor games. The most humorous game to observe was the potato relay. Each person had to put a potato between their legs and waddle to the finish line. This continued until all the potatoes were brought to the other side via leg travel. Kelsey dropped her potato and had to pick it up with her elbows. I suggested she use her teeth but she declined my advice! Drew, Dryden and Stefanie decided to go hit a few potatoes with some metal bats after the outdoor games were done. It ended with a tragic crack as Dryden unintentionally hit Drew over the head with the bat and may have caused some severe brain damage. Just kidding! As usual, there was a talented band and some great treats downstairs afterwards. Chantelle and I dizzied ourselves by rolling down the ditches and seeing how straight we could walk when we were done! There was a little camp fire at Eby’s pasture afterwards… minus the Dean Eby… that lasted for a good two hours or so. All in all, it was a good night. The ride home with my crew was pretty interesting… all three hours of it. Lol! We explored some uncharted territory including a river that ran through the middle of our road.
